The gameplay in The Sand Worm is very simple: in every round you try to last as long as possible. The longer you stay alive the more points you get. You steer your indefatigable and adventurous worm – who's in constant motion – by tapping the right and left sides of the screen, and the worm follows your moves.

In The Sand Worm you'll come across lots of difficulties. The first is moving the worm itself, as sometimes it can be a real headache. The thing is that while you're underground you're safe, and you'll even find energy to help you carry on. But you inevitably have to come above ground at some point, where you'll find armed soldiers ready to shoot you down. You have to get rid of them before they get rid of you – and try to stay away from the surface as much as possible.
